This depends on the show, style of entertainment, the number of opening acts, and what else is happening at recordBar that night. We list the time that the doors will open. This too is also subject to change. Rock'n'roll isn't work or school. It breathes. If you arrive and the doors aren't open yet, we have plenty of neighboring businesses that would love to serve you some food or drink.
To ensure that you are guaranteed entry to the show, we recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance. Once a show is sold out, we can’t do anything to help you, other than allow access to one individual each time one leaves. This scenario is avoidable by buying in advance.
Tickets can be purchased online on at our website therecordbar.com or in-person at the recordBar for most shows. We also work with some of the area’s best promoters and you may purchase tickets from them the links provided on our calendar. For AEG Live promoted shows you may purchase tickets free of service charge at their box office which is located at The Midland Theater.
Currently, we also have tickets in house for Up To Eleven and Mammoth Live promoted shows. Inquire with the front door person about what we have in stock.
If you are traveling to KC to see a show we reccomend staying at Hampton Inn & Suites.
If you purchased tickets online and did not choose for tickets to be mailed to you there are NO physical tickets. Your name will be on a list at will call when you arrive
Items that are found by our staff after a show are kept safe in our office. You can call us at 816-753-5207 during business hours to inquire about recovered items. Please remember, we are not responsible for items lost or stolen at recordBar. If it is valuable to you, it is probably safer at home or in your car.
